  • I took some career aptitude test thingers. Thought I'd share. Because I have nothing better to talk about right now.

  • Bachelor's in English
  • If your Bachelor's in English isn't landing you that dream gig writing for the New York Times, you may want to explore other ways to make a living with your strong writing and people skills. With just a few strategic courses to complement your core degree, you could have a great new career with your humanities degree.
Possible jobs (with median salary):  Lobbyist: $89,613 Marketing specialist: $59,482 Public relations assistant: $44,068 Technical writer: $65,467
This here is a blog with some nifty finds/advice.

Your highest score was on Food Service, which means that you like to be involved in the preparation, serving, or selling of food products. This includes selecting ingredients, creating menus, supervising kitchen staff, cooking, baking, and aspects of food service. You also scored highly on Writing, indicating that you enjoy creative or technical writing. You are also likely to be interested in a broad range subjects, so finding occupations that allow you to exercise these interests would lead to higher work satisfaction for you. Your high score on the Personal Service scale means that you like interacting with others and providing the public with services involving personal contact.

At first, I was confused by the Food Service ("really? what?"). I had visions of flipping burgers and drowning in grease, but then I remembered I want to own a bakery. The stars aligned and things made sense.

  1. from personal experience, food service sucks. if you turn into a heart sucking incubus that is. like my boss did. she owns the restaurant and it has mutilated her soul, not that she wasn't already the devil. i just hate her. which means you should never, ever spend your money at the formally known as cocoa perk. ever.

you'd own a great bakery. as long as my artwork is in it.
